The Zombie Cocktail is a Tiki cocktail made of fruit juices, Liqueurs and various different rums. Zombie cocktail is made using Apricot brandy, dark rum, golden rum, white rum, lime juice, pineapple juice and 151 proof rum.

Zombie Cocktail History:

It's first appeared in late 1934, Invented by Donn Beach at his Hollywood Don the Beachcomber Restaurant. Donn Beach originally concocted the zombie to help a hungover customer get through a business meeting. But the customer returned several days later to complain that he had been turned into Zombie for his entire trip.

Its smooth fruity taste works to conceal its extremely high alcoholic content. Donn the Beachcomber Restaurants limit their customers to two Zombies apiece because of their potency. Which beach said could make one "like the walking dead".

Zombie Cocktail Ingredients:

  • Apricot Brandy - 1 part (20 ml)
  • Dark Rum - 1 part (20 ml)
  • Golden Rum - 1 part (20 ml)
  • White Rum - 1 part (20 ml)
  • Lime juice - 1 part (20 ml)
  • Pineapple juice - 1 oz (30 ml)
  • 151 Rum - 1 cl (10 ml)

Method:Shaken

Shaking is a method of making cocktail, to make the zombie cocktail simply add all the ingredients apart from 151 proof rum along with ice cubes and shake it vigorously for 8 to 10 sec until it gets chill. Now pour the drink into the zombie glass and float the 151 proof rum on the top.

Garnish: Garnish it with a pineapple slice with maraschino cherry.
