The Black Russian Cocktail Recipe was invented in 1949 at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels by Belgian Barman Gustave Tops. Mr Tops created the drink to salute the achievements of his regular patron Perle Mesta, who was both the United States Ambassador to Luxembourg and a notable American Socialite.

Black Russian is a classic cocktail that is simply built up with two simple ingredients vodka and coffee liqueur (Kahlua).
Black Russian Cocktail Ingredients:
- Vodka - 1 & 1/2 oz (45 ml)
- Coffee Liqueur - 1 part (20 ml)
Method: Stir.
This is made as simple as a built-up method, Simply add the ingredients along with ice cubes and give it a stir using a bar spoon. You must be thinking what is a bar spoon now?
