How to make Bloody Mary Cocktail Recipe.

 



Bloody Mary Cocktail is a vodka-based cocktail, which contains vodka, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce ( hot sauce ) and tomato juice, served in salt rim high ball or collins glass with a celery stick, lime wedge.

The bloody mary is credited to Fernand Petiot in the 1920s, while a young bartender at harry's New York Bar in Paris. It is simply a spiced up combination of vodka and tomato juice while working at st.

Bloody Mary Cocktail Recipe:

It is a simple vodka-based cocktail built with spiced up tomato juice, which consists of vodka, lime juice, tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice and a pinch of white pepper. You can also get ready-made Bloody Mary cocktail mixers and bloody mary cocktail sauce.

Bloody Mary Cocktail Ingredients:

  • Vodka - 1 & 1/2 oz ( 45 ml )
  • Lime Juice - 1/2 oz ( 15 ml )
  • Tabasco sauce - 2 dashes ( approx 1 teaspoon )
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 dashes ( approx 1 teaspoon )
  • Tomato Juice - 3 oz ( 90 ml )
  • White pepper - 1 pinch
  • Salt or Celery salt - for rimming the glass
  • Celery stick - 1 no

Method: Stir.

This method is as simple as a built-up method, Simply add the ingredients along with ice cubes and give it a stir using a bar spoon. You must be thinking what is a bar spoon now?

Bar Spoon:


A bar spoon is a long-handled spoon used to mix the ingredients directly in the glass, the length of the bar spoon can reach the bottom of any tall glass, tumbler or mug. And used to mix and layer either alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks using the bar spoon.

Garnish: 

Salt rim Glass with Celery Stick and a lime wedge.

Note:

For a bloody mary cocktail, you have to rim the glass before you start to build the drink. 

How to rim the Glass?

There are 2 different methods to rim the glass, you can rim the glass using equipment called a glass rimmer. And you can also rim the glass without the equipment.

Glass Rimmer: 


The glass rimmer contains three different compartments, the first compartment contains a sponge with lime juice, the second compartment contains salt and the third compartment contains sugar.
To rim, the glass simply, dip the glass rim in the first compartment which contains lime juice absorbed sponge and then dip in salt or sugar compartment to rim the glass with salt or sugar.

Without Glass rimmer:

No need to worry if you don't have a glass rimmer, you simply need a half plate with salt in it and a lime wedge. This method is much easier. 
Now rub the lime wedge on the rim of the glass to get the rim moist and dip it in the plate which contains salt or sugar and tap the glass from the bottom to remove any excess salt or sugar.
