How to Make Between the Sheets Cocktail.

 

Between the sheets is a cocktail made using white rum, cognac, triple sec and lemon juice. It is one of the rum-based classic cocktails.

Between the Sheets Cocktail History:

The origin of between the sheets cocktail is usually credited to Harry MacElhone at Harry's New York Bar in Paris in the 1930s as a derivative of the sidecar cocktail which is made with cognac brandy. 
However, competing theories exist that claim the cocktail was created at Berkeley in approx 1921.

Between the Sheets recipe is a simple & classic cocktail recipe made using white rum, cognac, triple sec and lemon juice. We also add cognac brandy in between the sheets drink, so you might find the drink in the cognac cocktails list also.

  • White rum - 1 oz (30 ml)
  • Cognac brandy - 1 oz (30 ml)
  • triple sec - 1 part (20 ml)
  • Fresh Lemon Juice - 2 cl (20 ml)

Glassware: Martini or cocktail glass.

Method: Shaken.

Shaking is a method of making a cocktail. Simply add all the cocktail ingredients into the cocktail shaker and shake it vigorously for 8 to 10 sec until the cocktail shaker gets chilled. Strain it into a martini or cocktail glass and serve it chilled, garnish it with a lime twist.
